Dental FAQ

We are proud of our beautiful new facility and innovative technologies, but we never overlook our most valuable asset – patients. Job one at Sycamore Dental is to provide accurate diagnosis and present treatment options to help you make informed dental healthcare decisions. You will never feel pushed into fast choices, unnecessary procedures, or aggressive treatment.

Here are answers to some common questions, to help you get to know our practice better.

Our practice was designed with one thing in mind – YOU. Many dental practices claim to be “patient-centric,” but we prove it with:

  • Unhurried, personalized attention. Dr. Suri and her team take as much time as necessary to explain treatment, answer questions, and administer care gently.
  • Comfort and convenience – From reception area to treatment room you’ll find pleasant, unexpected amenities such as complimentary refreshments, free Wi-Fi, and flat screen televisions. We even offer late day and Saturday appointments to fit your busy schedule.
  • Technology combined with human warmth. We’ve invested in the latest dental technologies and training to provide a more efficient, comfortable experience for you. However, these technologies do not replace soothing, compassionate care.
  • Flexible financing. We pride ourselves on providing top-notch dentistry at fair, competitive rates. In addition, we offer a number of affordable payment options.

Yes, of course. Dr. Suri is known for her conservative treatment style, and providing full explanation of treatment options to help patients make good decisions. It doesn’t mean that the initial dentist’s assessment is incorrect – you simply might benefit from different approach. Dr. Suri will be happy to provide an independent evaluation and treatment recommendation. Ultimately, the decision is yours, and you are welcome to come back to Sycamore Dental at any time.

Yes – we love pediatric patients! A big benefit, compared to taking your little one to a solely-pediatric practice, is that you won’t have to switch dentists when your child becomes a teenager. Our office is kid-friendly, with a play area, games, and Xbox.

We recommend scheduling your child’s initial dental appointment when you see the first tooth peeking out, or by baby’s first birthday – whichever occurs earliest. We happily accept children at any age.

Most people who practice good home hygiene and have healthy mouths need checkups just twice a year. These visits are essential to keep teeth clean and prevent problems. They also give the dentist a chance to monitor oral development (in children) and existing issues, and to detect new problems early, when they may be treated most efficiently and economically. Oral conditions such as gum disease, may warrant more frequent hygiene appointments – care is customized at Sycamore Dental.
